The Labyrinth - A Meditation For Those Who Can’t Sit Still

Until quite recently I assumed a labyrinth was a maze full of dead ends and paths meant to confuse you. In fact, the labyrinth has one way in, and one way out. It’s a metaphor for our journey to self and back out again into the world and has been used as a meditation tool for centuries.

The Magic of OM

OM Meditation is an ancient meditation technique that has survived from ancient times in India and Tibet and China until today. Basically, the sound OM, according to Hindu Sages and Religious Scholars, is the sound that completely represents the entire verbal sound phenomena that lies within each one of us. OM, also spelled AUM, begins with the A (AH) sound, and finally culminates with the M (MMM) sound with the lips closed. Here is a simple strategy to begin meditating tomorrow morning.

Meditation isn’t some mystical journey whereas you are required to become a Zen or Buddhist master. Meditation is simply staying in one place quietly, eventually learning to be in the present moment until it becomes natural.

Living in the present moment is the beginning to ending the mindless clatter and worries that are constantly bombarding you. Meditation teaches you to ignore self destructive thoughts and become at peace with ones selves, warts and all.
