Do not under any conditions give infants laxatives or enemas. This can cause so much chaos in the nearest future as they do not have a body structure that can take the stress of contravening down all that quantity of chemical.
For as long as achievable, breast fed the child as this is the simplest food type that the baby can crack down.
Give plenty of water. As a newborn do not provide more than a small eye-dropper full of water. As your infant grows up and comes of age, provide a bottle of water to her to suck on all through the day. If you sense there is a need for it, add a slight Rooibos tea (cooled) to the water-bottle. In case you are surprised what a Rooibos tea is, it is a natural tea prepared from herbs (Aspalathus Linearis) originated only in the South African Cedarberg mountains.
Use magnesium which is prevalently found in the form of magnesium citrate. This assists the contraction of the peristaltic muscles ensuing in bowel evacuation. Apart from this, it facilitates the muscles of the intestine to work maximally. When giving it to the child, it is superior to start with 1/16 of a tablespoon mixed in water which is given to the child. This can be repeatedly applied until the child time and again has adequate bowel movements.
Use baby enema. To achieve this, apply olive oil to the tip of a bulb syringe having about one to three (1-3) tablespoons of warm water, and place it gently in the baby’s colon. Be cautious that there is no air in the bulb. After a couple of minutes, your baby must naturally have a bowel movement. Do this until contented.
Massage the baby. This straightforward and quite simple sounding act can actually ease tension and anxiety in the baby, perks up digestion, improves the development of the baby and usually helps her fight off diseases.
