Some methods to get rid of hemorrhoids
Treatment of hemorrhoids is a two way process. Firstly, we have to shrink the symptoms of itching, burning, and pain. And secondly, the hemorrhoid itself has to be contracted.
1. Healing the symptoms
There are various creams and ointments accessible in the market, which aid in reducing the itching, pain and burning. Some medications also target exacting areas like there are different ointments for burning, another for pain etc.
2. Shrinking the hemorrhoid
Sitz bath, which is a little tub and is particularly designed to let the soaking of hemorrhoids without taking a bath. In this procedure the rectal area is soaked in hot water for about 15-20 minutes and about 3-4 times every day.
3. Eating habits and physical activities
Eating fruits like apples, oranges, bananas, grapefruits, prunes, mangos, grapes, watermelon and cherries improves the digestion process. Food products like white floor and bread products, and sodas should be kept away from as they lead to constipation. Do indulge in more physical activities.
4. Apply ice packs on the affected regions.
Surgical procedure for getting rid of Hemorrhoid
Three surgical means to eliminate external hemorrhoids are
a) Infrared photocoagulation: The hemorrhoid is coagulated with infrared light to make it shrinks.
b) Laser coagulation: The hemorrhoid is coagulated with an electric probe which makes it contract.
c) Hemorrhoidectomy: Total removal of the hemorrhoid.
Treatment for internal Hemorrhoids remedy
1. Injection Sclerotherapy - A chemical solution is inserted into the mucous membrane near the hemorrhoid ensuing in inflammation and closure of the veins, thus shrinking the hemorrhoid.
2. Rubber Band Ligation - In this procedure a small rubber band is placed at the bottom of the internal hemorrhoid. The blood supply to the hemorrhoid is sliced off hence resulting in it to contract up.
3. Infrared Photocoagulation - An infrared is aimed to clot the dilated veins of the hemorrhoid. The hemorrhoids contract as the blood does not flow through the coagulated blood vessels.
4. Hemorrhoidectomy - Here the hemorrhoid is surgically detached with a scalpel, laser or cattery device.
5. Laser Coagulation - An electric current is passed to the hemorrhoids triggering a chemical reaction that halts the blood supply in the hemorrhoid and causes the swollen tissue to shrink.
