Acne Treatment At Your Home

Acne, one of the most ghastly diseases in the world that can jeopardize your look, is nothing but infection of the oil producing glands present in the upper layers of your skin. Acne can occur at any age; even some cases of newborns acne are being reported. But it commonly attacks the adolescents and the teenage group. Acne can be a nagging disease, not improving much after a complete course of treatment. Here are some acne treatments that you can take at the convenience of your place.

But first we have to get a brief idea about the occurrence of acne. Acne is of two types ?Acne vulgaris and Acne rosasea. Acne vulgaris is the common variety and occurs due to excess production of sebum by the sebaceous glands. As dust particles present in the environment blocks the opening of the sebaceous glands, sebum starts accumulating inside it. Due to bacterial infection, these glands open up giving the look of acne. Acne rosasea is an inflammatory condition of these glands, totally different from acne vulgaris.

First you have to give up comedogenic cosmetics. Use oil-free moisturizers, soaps and face wash. This will help your skin to remain free from blockage. Include Vitamin E containing food (spinach, almonds, avocado, milk) in your diet. Vitamin E is good for your skin and rejuvenates it from inside. There are some herbal preparations that you can use to treat acne.

Evening primrose oil ?massage over your face and other body parts where acne is seen. You can take capsules of evening primrose oil also for convenience.

An infusion drink comprising tea tree oil, Echinacea, nettles, goldenseal and calendula can be taken until the condition of acne is improved.

Use face wash containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylate or other products having sulfur.

Acne treatment at home is not difficult, but you have to be careful if it does not improve even after prolonged use. Consulting your doctor will help.
