10 Signs that Your Diet is Resulting in Habitual Eating

In this study, 311 overweight women were recruited to follow one of the following popular diet programs:
The Atkins Diet
The Zone Diet
The LEARN diet or
The Ornish Diet
To start the study, each woman was given a copy of the popular diet book and said to follow it randomly. All the women have given 8 hour training of how to follow the assigned diet. After the completion of course, every woman had asked to follow the diet plan for 1 year.
Results:
Everybody lost a lot of weight in the first two months, and by the end of the trial the results were not impressive at all. All the women only lose an average 10 pounds of weight after an entire year of dieting! This trial gives us an idea that it is very hard to accurately measure how many calories a person eats in a day.
So you can say that the more complicated and rigid the diet is, the more likely it is going to fail in the long term.
Another Study:
Another study was made by the International Journal of Obesity titled Dietary Adherence and Weight Loss Success among Overweight Women. The researchers have examined from the A to Z weight loss study trial to see the relationship between the level of compliance and the amount of weight that was lost.
The Result:
The research shows that every subject was not following the diet schedule given properly at some point of time during the 12 months trial period! All goes in vein. The researchers saw that all the programs which implemented have different results! But one thing was common. The better the woman was following the program, no matter which ever it might be; she lost more weight than others!
Now you can imagine if the women who were given the proper training, have these kind of variable results, then just imagine, what could you do by just simply buying some books and hoping for weight loss!
You can simply find these equations about how successful a diet can be:
More rules = more complications = lower chance of success
Less rules = less complications = high chance of success
The best way is to find the easiest, most comfortable way to reduce the total amount of calories that you eat. The less complicated your diet, the greater chance you have of sticking to it long term.
