If you typed the word body building in to Google, you would get 14 million page results (probably more by the time you read this.) This means that anybody wanting to start out with a body building routine could be very confused by plethora of conflicting advice relating to body building. In this article, I intend to offer you advice on how to better analyse the information you are reading and whether the body-building program you are researching is the right one for you. When you are researching a body-building program you need to ask yourself and consider:

  • The results and expertise of the person writing the program- Is the author of the body-building program you are researching a verifiable expert, whether a personal trainer or a nutritionist? Are they a competing body-builder, or are they just a random person who got lucky in their endeavours?
  • What level of research they have done, and what proven knowledge does the program creator have- Does the author of your intended program verify their claims through research and by quoting other sources? How much research have they done?
  • Can they prove the results of their program in other people like you- Another thing to consider when looking at a body-building program is to look at the authors claims as to the results of their program? Has the author been lucky with a program that was perfect for them but no one else, or can they verify their claims with results achieved by third parties trying out their program? You must look for a wide range of testimonials before committing to any particular body-building program.
  • Is their program and suggested exercises backed up by health experts and body building experts- The author of the body-building program you are looking at may have done a lot of research, but carefully chosen words can make a particular phrase look good for their program when their program may actually be full of holes. If experts, such as doctor’s, personal trainers, nutritionists or competing body-builders are prepared to back a program, there is a fairly good chance that it is a program that is better than many of the others out there and it is one that warrants further consideration.
  • Does what they are saying in their body building program make sense to you- This point is probably on of the most important, but is sometimes impossible to ascertain until after you have purchased a program. Can you actually understand the body-building program you have purchased? Do you know what you are supposed to be doing? If it doesn’t make any sense, you should ask for a refund. To ensure that you are going to get one, you should not purchase a program that doesn’t offer a 100% money back guarantee.

If you want to get involved in body-building, you should ensure you take the advice mentioned above. Failure to do so could lead to disappointment.
