The collagen plays an important role in the skin of humans, and when it is damaged, its healing process may result in the development of stretch marks, the unattractive lines that are prevalent on the skin. To understand how these marks can be treated, it is crucial that you learn more about the importance of the skin. The skin is the largest organ on the body, and it is highly complex. It is a combination of proteins and carbohydrates, and it protects the delicate tissues underneath it from harmful bacteria.

There are two layers of the skin, and these are the dermis and epidermis. While it is natural for collagen to heal when it is damaged, the problem that arises with its healing process is that when it heals it leaves scars and these scars are what are known as stretch marks. An ideal striae treatment product would be one that allows the collagen to heal without leaving scars or which can repair the the marks themselves.

Some studies have suggested that as many as 75% of women will develop these scars during their pregnancy. They are also very common in teenagers who again are going through hormonal changes in their body as a result of puberty. Another part of the community that tends to get them more than average are bodybuilders and weight lifters. As many bodybuilders take steroids and steroids are known for causing hormonal changes in the body this is more evidence that there is a connection between steroids and hormones. However, more research will have to be done in order to verify whether or not I’m right.

One of the best and most affordable ways of handling these scars is simply to cover them up. You can cover them up with clothes, stockings, and a bunch of other items, or you may also have the option of using make-up to cover them. While most of us want to get rid of these marks permanently, this can be a challenge, and there are times when people prefer to temporarily disguise them. Foundation products assist in this method. However, it is important that a water proof brand is used. This will ensure that it won’t drip as a result of swimming or sweating or doing any water activities.
