I used to smoke years ago, and quitting smoking can be difficult process for anyone, to be straight up I don’t think it’s been that easy for anyone to quit smoking. Look, it may be hard to quit but there are a few things that will really help you out if you want to go far in this.

Throughout this article you will learn about some of the most significant qualities you will need to quit smoking.

A skill that you should try and take on board is Responsibility. If you want to quit smoking then you are going to need to take responsibility. You can’t use anyone else as a scapegoat for your problem because you created it. I am going to be a little tough on you so don’t take it personally but I believe it’s your own fault. A part of success in any area is accepting and clearly pointing out your situation and problems and then working towards changing it until you have achieved what you wanted.

So stop making excuses, I’ve helped many people beat smoking and I hear time and time again things like “I smoke because I am always stressed” (Smoking is proven to give you more stress so don’t buy into it) or “I smoke just to annoy all those annoying self-righteous non smokers”. Be frank with yourself, are the excuses you’re giving yourself completely logical because I’ll bet they they aren’t. Make an effort to change this, and it’s easy too, just take responsibility for your problem and work towards quitting.

The ability to align with others. Another great skill you should have in your “quit smoking toolbox” is the ability to align with other people who want to quit or seek help from those who have already quit smoking. I reccomend this fully, in fact you’d be silly not to, because you’ll all be able to support each other and you’ll make some great freinds along the journey!

That’s great but how exactly do I do that, you say?? Simple, all you have to do is find people, you might even know of some in you’re area already. And if you don’t know of any people who are going through the same thing as you just look online! There are a lot forums plastered all over the internet and I believe those forums have been responsible for helping thousands of people finally quit. So check one out!

Ok, you’ve heard enough of my ranting, but here’s one thing to ponder… TAKE ACTION! Get off the couch and just stop smoking. I know it sounds hard but it really isn’t, as long as you have a sound plan you’re gold.
