We have a lot of fitness information out there. We just really have to ask the right questions, then we get the right answers. Let us put a stop on all our unrealistic expectations. Let us start doing the sensible things to change our health for the better
Losing extra weight might be hard, but it can be done.
Try fitting these in your daily routine will definitely do you good:
Walk, Even at a slow pace (2 mph), you could burn as much as 161 calories in an hour.
Try wearing more comfy clothes. A recent study from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse reveals that 80 percent more steps or 25 extra calories are lost when subjects wore jeans to the office versus dressy clothes.
Keep off the chair. A study in Diabetes reports that simply standing more often induces your body to burn more calories doubling your calorie burn for next 24 hours. Sitting for hours on end disables enzymes that catch fat in the bloodstream, but getting up reignites them. Try keeping off your seat whenever possible.
Take ’short’ fitness breaks. Try jogging or walking up and down three flights of stairs (12 steps per flight). Repeat this 9 times to burn 100 calories more a day.
Do your household chores with more enthusiasm. You don’t just get a clean home but burn 100 or more calories in the process. Like rearranging furniture around the house can make you lose as much as 193 calories in 30 mins. and medium-to-heavy gardening can shave off 290 calories in an hour. Not to mention, doing these regularly can tone your arms, shoulders, and legs.
All these calculations are based on a 135-pound woman so the good news is
the heavier you are, the more calories are burned!
Note: Before doing any fitness or lifestyle change program, it is best to consult an accredited medical and/or fitness professional. They can provide informed advice on more ways for you to burn even more calories on any given day.
