Use natural products on your skin. Your skin absorbs most things that it is exposed. Using products that are laden with chemicals and synthetics is harmful not only for your skin but for other organs. Using all natural skin care products benefits your body as a whole.
Read those labels. Learn the ingredients. Ingredients are listed under names you may not be familiar. Even if you do not recognize one, it may still be natural. The agency that regulates labeling has strict guidelines as to what things can be called. Learn the most common for the products you desire to use.
Using natural skin care products will benefit both your skin and your environment. Look for companies that use natural or recyclable packaging as well.
Hydrate your skin. This is done by drinking plenty of clean pure water. This point cannot be stressed enough. The first thing you notice when someone is dehydrates is the state of their skin. Many foods and drinks we consume can dehydrate us. Coffee is a diuretic that will leave your skin thirsting for more water. For every cup of coffee you drink, it is recommended that you drink two glasses of water to replenish yourself. There are other hidden culprits in your diet as well. It is best to drink those six to eight glasses of water a day to ensure you get what your skin is thirsting for.
Protect your skin from the sun. Sun damage can age your skin. If you are out in the sun for any period, it is best to protect your skin from the damaging rays of the sun. Wearing long sleeves and a hat with a wide brim are ways to protect your skin. Invest in a natural sunscreen as well. There are more varieties appearing on the market all the time.
Ensure you get all the vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids that you need. Avoid over processed fatty foods. This will all show up in the condition of your skin. The old saying you are what you eat applies to your skin. You can tell a persons diet by looking at their skin.
