Forms Of Meditation

Today there are new and easy ways to meditate with the click of a button and we will discuss these methods later, for now we will take a look at two of the most popular forms of meditating.
Mindfulness Meditation: In this type of meditation, the mind is aware of all that is happening around you. You just observe thoughts, images, feelings and sensations etc without getting involved in them. The person is just like a spectator who is witnessing everything but does not react of get involved with thoughts, feelings, worries and the like. This helps one to gain a more calm, non-reactive state of mind.
Concentrate Meditation: This method is accomplished by one focusing the attention on the breath, image or sound. This gives way to clarity and greater awareness, you just sit quietly and focus you attention on your breath. Many advanced mediators believe in the correlation of the state of mind and the breath, when a person is anxious, agitated, or distracted the breath is shallow, rapid or irregular. On the flip-side when ones mind is calm, composed and focused the breath tends to be slow, deep and regular.
When you are getting started, be patient and try both examples, you will find it is hard at first to quiet your mind because it has been left to ramble on unchecked for along time. Just let whatever happens be OK, it will take a little time but I promise you the benefits are better than anything you can imagine. Give it a try, and we will see you soon.
