Build Muscle and Burn Fat - With High Intensity Cardio

Being able to build muscle and burn fat at the same time is a topic that many people disagree on. Many bodybuilders and fitness experts say that these two things should be done at different times. The fact is, you can build muscle and burn fat at the same time and you’re about to discover how.
The best way to build muscle is to train with weights and the best way to burn fat is to do cardio. The reason why those bodybuilders and fitness experts say that these two things should be done at different times is because doing cardio can actually cause you to lose some muscle. But there is a way to prevent this. When most people think of cardio, they think of jogging or walking or riding a bike. This is called low-intensity cardio and while it will burn fat, it does nothing for you if you’re trying to build muscle and burn fat at the same time. The secret is High Intensity cardio. High intensity cardio is exactly what it sounds like. It is doing cardio at a high intensity. There are many ways to do this. One way is to do a short burst of high intensity activity, followed by a period of rest. An example of this could be sprinting for 30 seconds, then walking for 30 seconds. You would repeat this about 20 times. High intensity cardio not only burns more fat in a shorter time period than low intensity cardio, but it also preserves your muscles.
In conclusion, if your goal is to build muscle and burn fat at the same time, high intensity cardio is definitely the way to go. So break out those running shoes and get started. If you stay consistent and stay motivated, soon you will have the body you’ve always wanted.
